Getting some stuff taken care of

Shooting your collection would be interesting.

BTW, Doc, if you ever make it to Portland (and I'm in town) you have a standing invite to take the rifles for a test drive.

Kurt,

You're on. Actually, I make it down to the states occasionally, and you can never tell when my wanderings take me to the People's Republic of Oregon.

Round seven: Remington SPS-SS .243 Winchester, 6x42 in Talleys (not that you can tell from the pics), before:

Damn, my camera really didn't handle flash on a predominantly white stock very well! Sorry about the burned pictures. If it ever stops raining when I am at home (probably about the end of June), I'll get some pics outdoors.

Kurt,

The ugly duckling has been transformed into a handsome rifle. Good move.

You know it, you love it, the Winchester factory hot glue 'bedding' job:

The new one, with the old one. McMillan Supergrade, 50% white/50% black:

The finished (for now, at least) product:

That looks a lot like the one I have on my M70 338 WM. But I think Mine has a bit of grey in it. They sure look sharp! You have got one very good looking collection for sure.

Kurt, that M70 looks AWESOME! I would love to have that same Classic Stainless in a 358 Mag.. I can't wait to hear how it shoots!

Yeah, I kinda dig that black-n-white. I could see me doing another one like it... maybe more of a tac style stock. A-3, A-5 maybe?

Round 5.1, or eight, I'm not sure which. Started with:

New Mickey, in a McFlame pattern, KS style stock:

And finally getting Joel's VX3 on my .204 (but ran out of time):

Interestingly, the KS is just a tough deeper through the belly, as a result, I need to get a longer front triggerguard (it's an ADL) screw... the one that's too short measures 1.554". I guess I'll be hitting Brownells... probably pick up a couple more sets of S&K mounts and a trigger or three, as well.

Thanks, fellers! I have one more Mickey on order, for my .358, and then I think I might take a bit of a break from them and concentrate on some other thing, like replacing scopes and mounts on some older rifles, and replacing some triggers on newer rifles.

And filling up the four Mickeys that are sitting empty in my office.

Very colourful, Kurt. Urban camo for the environment where vermin hang out. They are quite attractive. It looks as if you did a good job fitting them.

Yep too much to do not enough time buddy. You definitely need a 280 or AI in one of those stocks. Always too much to do not enough time.

I suspect that three of the four will have some form of .280 in them... Maybe one might be another 6.5-06. But the A3 stock is gonna hold a .22-250.

Actually, Mike, it's a .270 right now. As Elmer might say, a damn fine coyote gun.

And I didn't do crap... credit all goes to McMillan.

Someone has to make the selection and tighten the action screws!
