Good deal, or bad?

I don't have any first hand experience but I've read it's the later. You get what you pay for.

Unless you are looking to get one hole groups at a grand, I'd say go for it. IMHO Lapua, Nosler, Norma brass is all way over priced. Sure they are already chamfered and ready to go, but for the money you can buy Win brass and have some cash left over for bullets. When looking at hunting accuracy, I've never seen my groups open up cause I used different brass.

It's not a matter of accuracy. All brass will shoot accurately (some may require more work). Lapua brass will outlast most of the other brass by at least double typically. So even if it's more expensive you don't have to buy it as often.

You can try the Pivi one time & see how you get on with it. Lapua is good brass, but I've seen swarf in the flash holes on it, so it still needs checking as any other brass.
Lapua lasts longer. - as with any other brass, it depends how hard you push it. But yes, it probably does.
Would I pay the extra? - Not more than once! - With some cartridge/calibres there's no choice & you have to buy Lapua. Cheers, ET

I would try them. If they make the 416 Barett brass that speaks volumes
