Finally got some range time...
I did the loading and my one son was shooting. He's not the best of rifle shooters yet...but he's improving rapidly.
That said I was curious if we'd see a difference with 3 different seating depths.
I loaded up 3 strings of 4 rounds @ different lengths.
300WSM
67.0 grains H4350
168 gr Hornady ELD-M
#1 .025 off the lands
#2 is .050 off the lands
#3 is .075
Velocity of the first 4...
It got too dark and raining for accurate velocity in my chronograph after our first string.
So what do you see here?
Nothing really jumps at me here and I might do this again but with tighter separation of the strings.
