An argument for not going heavier than 120gn for a .257 caliber bullet is that the increased weight slows the bullet down to the point that it isn't much better than a 130gn bullet from a 270----and that combo has been great since the 270 first appeared.
Reloads for a 257 Wby Mag with a 120gn hunting bullet can easily reach 3200fps. Hit your big game with that bullet in the right spot and it's going down.
It wouldn't surprise me if a .25 cal 115 or 117gn Long Range AccuBond is what we see from Nosler. The likely increase ib BC would help for long shots bucking the wind.
