Super works with 30/06 heavier bullets time to switch around powder.
I do that a lot with BPS and Cabela's. Buy powder/primers online and have shipped to a "local" store for pickup and avoid the hazmat fees. Luckily, I pass 3-4 BPS's / Cabela's weekly for work. The Cabela’s here near me will have items from other Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops sent to them. They had some primers and powder sent from the Triadelphia WV Cabela’s a couple months ago. They didn’t even charge hazmat. Maybe see if they can find Hunter at another store.
I just noticed I have a recipe for Norma 200 grain Oryx bullet with Hunter in the 300 WSM.
I bought some Super performance only to find out it works better with lighter bullets but Super works with 30/06 heavier bullets time to switch around powder.
For whatever reason I never grabbed for the RS powders first, until I started looking for a RL-26 replacement and tried Magnum. That really eased the sting of no 26. Launches a 143 hammer at 3150 and .325” groups from a 280 AI with a 22” barrel.
I believe you’re right. I just tried it with the 7-08 and 162 ELDs and I have to say, it was darned good.Well at least it's available somewhere. Hunter has good applications and cheaper. Think that's why it has become unavailable. The secret is out. Dan.
I think it has more to do with the handloader/shooter than the powder. Your targets look simillar, no matter what cartridge or powder you use. Great shooting by the way
