IMR 4350

Vince, I used IMR 4350 in my .25-06 for the first couple of years. It is not a bad powder, it just is not the best powder for bullets above 100 grains in that overbore case.

However, it is a very good powder for the .300 Mags. and I have used it in the .308 Norma, .300 H&H and .300 WSM with good results. I have never owned a .300 Win Mag and can not help you there but I have several friends who load IMR 4350 for the .300 WM and they seem to be happy with it.

Thank you sir.

I don't feel as aprehensive trying that powder now.

Hey Vince I have used IMR4350 powder in my 30-06, 165gr and 180gr Nosler Pt and .308, 165gr Nosler Pt for the past 30+ yrs and it has worked great. Very reliable. I am going to try Varget for my .308 and H4350 in my 30-06 just to see what the difference is. As long as I am at the range having fun it will always make hunting that much more.

I noticed that the faster IMR powders stayed on the shelves longer and were available for a couple of weeks past IMR 4350 being sold out. IMR 7828 SSC is still around in some stores. We may have to start buying rifles that use available powders?

I like where your heads at Charlie!

We will have to see how long Obama can sequester the total production capacity of the ammo makers?

This guy Obama has wasted more taxpayer money than anyone I have ever seen. I guess because he is communist and they always think that the money is theirs to spend with no accounting to the people. He needs to be taught a lesson on that by Congress.

I'm using IMR 4350 in my 25/06 but thinking of trying it in my .300 Win Mag.

I've leaned towards using H4831 and RX 22 for the 180 grain and heavier bullets. What say you all about using IMR 4350 for these bullets? Thoughts, opinions, welcome.
I use H4350/180gr bullets in my 300wm, I think IMR4350 would work as well.

Well about a month ago I bought 3lbs. of RL 17 and a week later they were out. Last week I bought some 7mmMag brass from Sinclair and now they are out. Most all of the online supply stores are out of most everything and from what I heard is that it will take awhile to build their supply back up. People are buying the reloading supplies up as fast as the stores get them in. Well I'm glad I have stocked up a little to hold me for awhile. Ya'll have a good day.

7mm's Forever and a 30 cal. will "Slam Dunk Um"

The store that I go to most is small and they ran out of components quickly. They are struggling to get consignments in order to have handguns to sell to their customers. I have bought 4-5 guns from them in the 7 years that I have been going there, since they opened and sold them a few. The other larger store in Bellingham has been rationing customers but I was able to get 400 small pistol from them last week.

The moochers have gone in and bought everything that they can find and markup on GunBroker about 4X+ in price. This always makes it hard on everybody when they swiff up everything they can find to mark up in primers and powder.

Not happy with the IMR 4350 and 180 grain Accubonds.
Best group was in the 1.5" range ay 100 Yards. I eliminated the shooter being part of the issue so it's back to the drawing board. I'll try RL 22 next and then, if that don't give me what I'm looking for, I'll switch bullets.

Vince, did you shoot 56.0 grains of IMR 4350 with a BR2 primer? I have never seen a .30-06 that would not shoot IMR 4350 at MOA or close to it? Some rifles do not shoot Accubonds as well as other bullets. Usually Ballistic Tips shoot really well in most rifles.

Excuse the typo on the load, I have corrected it.

It sounds like you are linking the 66 gr IMR4350 with a 30-06. Unless you go back several posts and see that you must be talking about using it in a 300 win mag.

Unless you are talking about using 66 gr in a 30-06 in which case you and I are going to have another problem

Not happy with the results I been getting with the Accubonds but I have a couple more powders to try to see if that improves things.

If that don't work I'll switch bullets. My other .300 Wench favors the Hornady SST bullet and I fear this one might too. I really want the Accubonds and BT's to shoot in this rifle.
