found that 55 & 56 gr IMR 4064 & 125grBT in 30-06 shoot very accurately. Is this too much powder??? Not alot of room left in the case asfter filling. Double checked my weights with 2 scales. no signs of pressure.IMR manual says 56.5gr max with 125gr sierra. Don't know velocities yet. I find most accurate load first then chrono after

Your charge appears to fall in safe territory according to your manual, and if you see no sign of pressure in your loads it probably is fine.
I wouldn`t simply switch to another bullet though without dropping back a couple grains and working back up. Just because you see no problems with the Ballistic Tip doesn`t mean the Sierra is a safe substitute.

Sounds like a safe load. If you are satisfied with the velocity and accuracy, you are set to go.

thanks POP that's what I thought 56gr was FULL. surprised to see you can compress it by another couple grains. I'll stick with with either the 56 or 55. Both shot under a half inch.will try again to see which load can duplicate the accuracy

Please do remember that this is only a prediction not a panacea. Treat data as if it came from a manual.
