Curious whats y'alls thought on using leverevolution in the 223. Its pretty close to CFE223 on the charts. I have 6 lbs we bought for the grendels and a couple 30-30's I load for. Its said it works well with the heavies like the 75-77 OTM. I was thinking about using it for the 64 BSB. I tried a few today up to 26.0 and primers looked good, no signs of pressure. This AR has a 5.56 chamber, so I think I'll go a tad more and see if a node develops. But given this one has a 16" barrel, 2800+ is not too shabby with a 64 grainer.
22.0 2364
22.5 2393
23.0 2434
23.5 2458

25.0 2596

FYI, Tac is available at Midsouth Shooters supply as of this morning. Also available is CFE223 and imr4064.
yeah, I got a shootingbot alert last night, and have it in my cart, but hoping to luck into it locally to avoid the hazmat, but will probably just end up having to order it. It comes available, on line, pretty regularly.

The other day PV had 8lbers if Tac. For me it’s now cheaper to pay shipping/hazmat than local LGS. Look like leverevolution is going to work for you.

That’s one of the benefits of being a FedEx driver, I like to see a hazmat manifest in my paperwork going to a LGS, if I have time I’ll ask them to open it up for me 😅

Dan, if you happen to see TAC locally hit me up, I haven't found much lately. I still have about 2-1/2 pounds, but that goes pretty quick through 4 AR's..LOL
Will do. Didn't see any at Heritage last week and haven't been in Survival for awhile but I'll keep my eyes open for you. Dan.

LVR is all I use in my 223/5.56 Hunter. I’m using 26 grains in range pickup brass and it does real well for me. 2750-2800 depending on barrel length. I’m a pretty devoted fan of the 77 TMK so that’s what I run through my Dillon.

Pretty impressive riflery, Scott. Nothing wrong with those loads or that shooting. (y)

That’s great to hear. I found a node around 26.5. If I get a break from the rain, I’m going to load some up tomorrow and see how they group. It’s definitely good for speed. I have a honey of a load with TAC, but been working on backup loads for the lean times.

That 26-26.5 grain load of LVR depending on case is a great one. I load them by the 100's on the Dillon. They function really well and just shoot well in everything 223 or 5.56. They are excellent coyote getters as well.

I loaded up 26.5 and 27.0 and tried them today, and there wasn’t a real difference between the two. Both shot about 1-1/4” which is really good considering there’s a 7lb mil spec trigger in this rifle. I sacrificed my match trigger for my daughters Grendel. I have a PSA nickel boron 2 stage on the way that’s about 3 lb, it should tighten them up some. But, I accomplished what I set out to do, and found a backup to the TAC load, should it become unavailable.

It seems like a great load really. I have shot quite a few in AR's and a few bolt guns and they've been excellent across the board.

Take a look at the Larue MBT trigger as well. Little less money than the more expensive triggers out there but I kinda like mine more than the Geisselle G2S's.

Glad you found that back up load. Curious to see how your new trigger changes things.

Got the new PSA 2 stage trigger put in. After some plinkers to adjust to the 2-stage, I re-shot the previous group that was 1.25” with the old trigger. It brought the group size down to 3/4” might get a little tighter with some more practice adjusting to a 2 stage.
