Some of you know I've been waiting nearly a year for my custom 280 AI. I finally have it, and I will be mounting a scope this weekend, as well as prepping some Nosler Brass for load development.
This is my goal for my first range session. To find max safe load for my rifle. I will be loading 150gn ABLR over a starting charg of 56gn of R26 and working up to 61.0 gns. I will of course stop whenever I see obvious pressure signs. I will be working up in .3 gn increments. I will be using Fed mag primers to insure good ignition, and shooting over a chrony.
Case prep will consist of uniforming primer pockets, and sorting to a +/- .001 case neck thickness variation.
Not concerned about group size for now. I can work on that later.
Any thoughts or sugestions?
