Could someone recommend a good load with 129gr. sst's ?

Powders I have on hand is IMR 4350, H4350 and Varget.

Thanks,
jr1968.

I tried them back during the summer with varget. I honestly never got a good group. Don’t know what it was about my combination, but my Howa did not like them. I tried them from .010” off the lands to .100” off the lands with no success. I plan on trying again this summer with imr 4350 and RL16.

My cousin shoots 44gr in his with the 129gr SST and he swears it will knock a deer silly.
He has shot a half dozen or so with his and he says its a honey of a deer load.

Those SST are a fine Deer load. They shed a lot of energy inside the Deer. I’ve seen a bunch of Deer just DRT with various calibers with the SST.

Yep! I like it when bullets come a 100 to a box! Lol. I bought some GMX to try last summer didn’t realize they only came at 50 a box until I got home [emoji57].
