I am somewhat surprised that the Trijicon didn't measure up better. However, it was because the Meopta is such a sterling product. I especially appreciate the summation of the two scopes.
ccoker,
Thanks for posting that review! That is a great article and I found exactly the same problem as he did with these lighted reticules.................. unless they are darn dimly lite they just flat blind you in low light conditions and compleatly defeat the whole purpose.
I bought a little Muller 4x16x50 last year to try using it on moonlite nights and it had the Mil Dot that was illuminated feature........................ totally worthless as the reticule is so bright on its lowest setting it is compleatly unuseable.
They also offered the scope with a standard #4 German reticule with a tiny dot at the center that illuminates. And I am guessing that is the one we should have ordered.
I have had some issues with the tracking of the scope and Muller techs informed me that it was all because the settings to get lined up where so far from the center of the range of the reticules movement internally that was why I was getting weird tracking results???????? So we shimed the scope with the reticules in the center of their travel range and it still isnt right :x
So the seller [Sportsmans Guide] told me to just return it [after ONE year] and they are going to replace it with a new one with the German #4 Sport Dot !!!!!!! Hows that for service from a company???? They said they will lean on Muller for a scope for me ! So I am hoping this will help us with the night shooting here with our coyotes.....
Anyway this review on these two excellent scopes is interesting as I would like to upgrade to a real quality scope for my little .243 and even though I probably would have never considered a Meotpa scope I sure as heck would NOW!!! Great Review.
