It really isn't Christmas without an oven fire. My wife made scones and butter dripped into the bottom. When I preheated the oven for the roast, poof. Oops. All is well.

Ah, yes, the brisket came out perfect, and the sauce was to die for. Cornbread was a tremendous hit (none left). Potatoes baked to perfection, and grandma's baked beans ensure a culinary delight graced the table. Spent the day with our grandson and his lovely bride. What a perfect day. Again, I wish the best and most blessed days ahead for all who frequent this forum. May you anticipate and be fulfilled with a prosperous and joyous new year.
