Model 70 Feed Ramp

Has anyone ever polished the feed ramp on their model 70. My classic stainless 7 mag has a really rough ramp. Just wondering if anyone had any tips either method or tools for that and/or polishing rails while I am at it.

I have polished a ramp on a .45 before so I would think it about the same just a little harder to access. Any other tips for smoothing the model 70 action would also be appreciated.

Never polished a feed ramp, but I can't see it being any different than your 45's. Post up any results you get, I would love to hear them. I have a couple of Model 70's that might benefit from the treatment as well.

I would think a dremel with an extension. I have one that is maybe 2 feet long and flexible for such work.

My guess would be some Emory cloth. Sure clean it up quick. Make sure it's fine.

Dremel, with a Cratex wheel set-up as Pat suggested.
