A buddy of mine has my manual. Can anybody take a peek and see what Nosler says is the most accurate powder for the .264 win mag using 120 gr Ballistic tips, or any personal favorites? Thanks for the help.

IMR4350 is listed as the accuracy load for the 120 grain BT in the 264 WM.

I have a 27 3/4" barrel on my rifle but Retumbo is really a great powder for me. I was getting 3600 fps with 120 ballistic tips and super accuracy with it. I decided to go with the 130 AccuBond with 66.5 grs. Retumbo, cci 250 primer, WW case reformed from once fired 7mm Rem mag. OAL 3.450 and I average 3350 fps with half MOA accuracy. I was afraid that the ballistic tip would evaporate on a deer close up at that speed. The 130 AB is perfect. 6 deer shot between 80 and 250 yards and all DRT.

I would think RL22, RL25, H1000, Retumbo should all work well. I was also able to get 3350 with 130 AB's, but I moved to 140's, now I am back to the drawing board.

Thanks for the help guys. What is the min and max for the IMR4350? I wonder if H4350 extreme would work equally well.

The boys at Sierra also list IMR 4350 as their go to powder for the 264.
I just didn't see the velocity I knew I should be able to reach with it.

Personally I think the 264 really shines with slower powders like RL25 or Retumbo.

My tube is a 28 incher.
Loading a military surplus ball powder WC872 I'm getting 3420 with 130 ABs and sub moa accuracy.
It's burn rate is close to H870 or AA8700 which are both discontinued.

Chronied some 130 Bergers the other day at 3475 with that powder.

As listed in the Nosler Guide
120 grain BT/IMR4350
Max charge = 62.0 grains
Min charge = 58.0 grains

I would assume that H4350 would work. QL projects the same maximum charge with the 120 grain BT.

From the latest Hodgdon manual. 120 gr bullet and H-4350 Min. 54.4 and Max 58.0 grs for the 264 Win mag.
