Thanks for the link Mike. That was some nice reading.

Your welcome, hope it helps some. I am with you I do like Leupolds duplex for the field.

Yeah the wide duplex reticule allows you to see more of your target and any obstacle that might be in the way. My idea of a perfect hunting reticule would be a wide #4 and I have seen these offered only in high dollar European variable scopes. A fixed wide #4 would be the cats meow in a fixed 6X like the FX3.

I had one in a Zeiss and really like it.

Looks good.. What sorta speed are you getting from the little 7?

2778fps

Very nice... That sounds like a good one. How long before you take it out and shoot it at distance. Be very interested in your groups out at 400 and 500.. Nice set up.

I will not be able to go to the 600yd range until September and with a BC of .611 it won't bleed much an if not a lot of wind won't drift to bad.

You are set, Mike. Now, to find a few Coues deer.

Yes, I will move a tad closer to the lands and tighten this group up just a bit. Here are a few pictures of some of where I will be hunting. I did not take these but you can bet when I get back from there I will have some photos to show and hopefully one of a nice Coues deer. :) This is deceivingly tough country to get around in and we have to have a carry since we are close to the Mexican border.
