My new Long Range Hunter

Wanted to share my new toy...Savage 11 Long Range Hunter in 6.5 creedmoor. Accutrigger, Accustock, ON/OFF muzzle break. Blackhawk tactical picatinny base and 6 hole low tactical rings. Scope is the Midway Exclusive Viper HS Tactical 5-15X44 mil dot with 1/10 mil/ mil adjustments. I am in love with this rifle...taking her out shooting on Sunday...Hopefully its a good day!!!

I too picked up my first Vortex and that exact rifle is something I've been "eyeing" for a while. I'm real curious how it will work out for you.

I'm not a Savage guy, but I've been eyeing a rifle like that in 6.5-284. Looks like that should be a solid rig.

Should be a good range report on this rifle. My 6.5 Creedmoor gives me decent groups, and I would expect yours to perform as well or better. It is an interesting cartridge.

Right now I just have hornady factory ammo, 129 superformance sst and 140 a max match ammo but I plan on using this out fit for a special fall moose hunt I have coming up and also probably elk so I will be also loading and testing 140 nosler partitions and the 140 accubonds when the are available.
