I'm glad he is gone as well. He was was busy boy today though. I'm pretty sure he had upwards of 45 to 50 post in his first and last day. I think only the Doc could rival those numbers with much less harsh consequences.

Note to Fotis ( and others ) he will be back. He was banned seven or eight times on a different forum. He kept coming back with a different name and in a few days ( or hours ) would get banned again. You will be able to know it is him the minute he posts, as his dialog is always the same--different, but the same. Dont spend any time on it, as you will see it when it happens and you will act accordingly. This group is small enough that policing our own is pretty easy. Doesn't take long for us to pick up on the dirtbags. Some of them can tame it back to be reasonable, but others, like him, man... Good riddance!

I love the scope, it essentially is a Vortex PST without illumination. Optics compare spot on to a friends mark 4. To me at 499, the scope is an amazing value, but at the sale price of 399.00 its a 100 percent no brainer...Going out shooting either today or tommorrow, i will have pics.

Spent this morning at the range with the same scope and I agree completely w you ITH. First groups that I shot with it were a seating depth progression with my 284. I'll post those pics in "reloading" and some pics and comments on the scope in optics.

+1 for a thanks to the moderators. The goodwilled and respectful nature of the guys posting here is what makes it a great place to spend time. You can (and I have) actually learn things here without having to sift through 3 miles of someone elses garbage first.

Got out to shoot this morning. I only had a box of 140 amax factory ammo, but holy cow does it shoot. The bottom group was at 100 yards three shots then the top group was 3 shots after I adjusted for a 200 yard zero.

I ran the box test on the Vortex Viper HS Tactical 5-15X44 and it was spot on. Optics were clear, click accurate, and the side focus right on...This scope could be 6-700 dollars and I would think it to be a good deal.

Since I will be hunting moose with this rifle, my next project is to work up a load with either 140 Partition or AccuBond.
