I am about to have my .308 Eddiestone rebarrelled to .243 for pest control purposes. I am looking at reloading 55gr Ballistic Silvertips. My main question is what would be a good twist rate to request the new barrel in?
2nd- Should I be looking at a heavier bullet as 400 yds + is occasional but not uncommon?
3rd- Would a twist rate for 55gr bullets still handle 95gr bullets out to 200+ yds for larger game (boar size) or should I set up for 80-95gr bullets and relosd 55gr as secondary? :?:

I would personally set it up for the longest bullet you plan to use. The shorter 55gr slugs will stabilize in the faster twist but a longer bullet may not in a slow twist barrel. Look for something in the 1 / 9.5" - 1 / 10" twist and be sure to discuss not only the twist but the leade lenght and conture/wgt of the barrel with the smith you are useing or barrel maker to make sure it will preform to you expectations with your ammo.
