New Brunswick Moose

Found out yesterday I was the lucky recipient of a New Brunswick Moose Tag. I'm very excited about this hunt and hope I can make it happen. Only a 100 tags given out each year so I'm happy to finally get drawn. Moose is definitely on my very short list of animals I'd like to tag. These are no Alaska-Yukon Moose but a moose is a moose

Anybody have any info on New Brunswick Outfitters??

No list of outfitters, but a HUGE congrats to you buddy!

What rifle/rifles are you taking along? How about the 45-70! Should be close shots and moose won't mind! :grin:

Congratulations on being drawn. That is way too far away from BC for me to comment on outfitters. Still, what rifle/cartridge are you considering using?

There is nothing quite like moose hunting and moose meat congratulations Your 280 AI will perform very well if you stick one of those 140 gr Partitions in the right place. A friend of mine uses a standard 280 Rem and brings home a moose almost every year.

With only 100 tags given out I kinda doubt there is much for outfitters wanting that kinda quota , I think you would be better off trying to find hunter host from NB. I'd hit the fish and game websites and see what they offer. Great province and great people in general , not a really pro hunting province more liberal, not saying there's not great opportunities just guys I ve talked too say they are harder to come by.
