Just bought one and replace the Leupold Mark4 16X LR scope on my 308 Tactical rifle. The Nikon will offer more flexibility for this rifle than the fixed Leupold. The scope is massive and much more heavier than the Leupold. I like the size of the turret and the numbering too. The clicks is precise and tactile. The lens is just as clear if not much clearer than the Leupold Mark4. I'll head out to the range in the morning and see what this scope can do.

Went to the range this morning and man, talking about cold. The wind was a steady 3-5 MPH and with occasional gust of around 7 MPH. Bad day for shooting and let alone testing but what the heck, any day shooting is better than no shooting at all. Temperature hovers around 40 degrees and the wind chill factors probably in the 20's. Fired a total of 5 rounds to established zero at 100 meters and proceeded to do a box test to see how the scope tracks. Here's the result. Fired at center target for shot #1. Dialed the turret 3MOA up and 2MOA right and fired shot #2. Brought the elevatioin down 6MOA and fired shot #3. Dialed windage 4MOA left and fired shot #4. Dialed 6MOA up for shot#5 and Then 2MOA right and 3MOA down for the final shot #6.
