NM 1st Elk Hunting results

Hey everyone,

I got back last week from my first bull elk hunt with a couple of freinds of mind. I managed to harvest a 4X4 bull elk in area 12 just west of Quemado NM with a 300WSM-200 Grain Partition at 125 yards.. My friends did see bigger elk but didn't get a chance to get a shot off due to the brush. I did learn on important thing on this trip-you don't get a blood trail when your shot turns the heart into mush!
