Man, this 250gr Barnes orginial in 8mm sure makes the Sierra 220gr SBT look anemic. Can't wait to work with this bullet, but that will be when the weather get just a little cooler.

What a cool looking beast, and at 2800fps WOW!!! 8)

Yeah, that Barnes is a bear. You had to be scrambling to find those. How many do you have?

Man, I only have 50 of them and that means I am going to have to really put a lot of thought out of my experience to be very load specific so I don't shoot a lot of these. I think I know the load chain and over all length I will use and if it fall within 1 1/2" that will be it. If any of you run across any of the Barnes Original 250gr in .323 8mm please let me know, I do want them. thank you Mike Price (bullet)

I shot some of the Barnes Originals in .30 cal quite some years ago.

Accuracy was okay - but nothing stellar - and the soft all-copper jacket fouled the bore of my rifle pretty badly. Still, I'd venture to guess that they would perform well on game. A fellow who hunted with them told me that they were really soft, and tended to "ball up" when they'd hit. He liked them, but honestly, I can't remember what caliber or bullet weight he was using. Elk though, am pretty sure he was hunting elk...

Sorry - had to dredge that one out of the memory banks from quite a while back.

That is one BAD looking bullet Mike. I'll keep my eyes open for ya if they do well and you want more.

It is even more substantial in person, man a long heavey bullet indeed.

Wow, that is a big bullet Mike. That must have some great ballistics as well at around 2800. The BC has to be pretty decent on it. That one will warrant a test into the jugs!

Going to happen, not only with the 250gr Barnes but also the Woodleight 250gr and the Hawk 250gr should get it all done in the next two months.
