I've got a pretty good shooting savage that will easily do around 3000 fps with 74.5 of re22 under a 180 AB.
Today I played with a start load of 70.5 with virgin brass under the 180 etip. It did 2890 fps so they definately have a bit more pressure than most other 180's. Throwing out my first fowling shot I had 4 shots doing a 2" rectangle at 200 yds. I might have seen some signs of keyholing but am not sure and will try more later.....I could easily have been mistaken as my paper was pretty damp. Looks like I should be able to work up some but doubt I'd get much over 72-73 grains before maxing or near max.
From what I saw today I will start all e-tip loads about 4% under other loads of the same wt.
