I don't have harvested meat to use in my meals, but I do cook a lot! My family often makes large soups of 22 servings a pot, and I am the resident knife enthusiast, so I tend to do the cutting for most of our large meals. I have enjoyed learning a lot about cooking over the last couple years.

This is my family's Pot Pie hack. Instead of making a crust, we just make pot pie filling and plop a couple drop biscuits on top. I like it just as much as a regular pot pie, but it is easier to make and for some reason sits on my stomach better.

I would expect that works quite well. I am the primary cook for my family, and I am always on the lookout for any hack that'll cut down on work. I', seasoning a new dutch oven this afternoon before making a variety of Mississippi pot roast tomorrow.

Try instead of baking your biscuits, with your stew in the pot on a low simmer, drop your biscuit dough into the simmering stew, and cover the pot with the lid.
Cook for approximately 20-25 minutes.
The biscuits will be much more moist and tender, and you eliminate the step of baking.
They also take on a little bit of the flavor of the stew beneath them.

Doesn't that make it a dumpling? No matter it sounds really good.

Yes actually!
We make it quite often this time of year.
I actually like it better than pot pie, but to each his own.
We make it all in one pot so there’s less clean-up and less steps for prep.
I'm thinking make up a big pot of filing, then brown them Quail whole and them drop em in the pot and let cook for a couple hours, then drop them biscuits in. What ya'll think?
