Hello everyone,

Let me start by saying that I'm a big fan of Nosler bullets. Ever since I started using the Partition I was hooked on your product. I just bought a couple boxes of 260gr Accubonds to load in my 375 H&H. I have the Nosler reloading guide number 4 which only shows loads for the ballistic tips and partitions. It shows a max load using RL-15 of 73gr and a book velocity of 2793fps.

Question 1: Would it be safe to assume that this load intended for the Partition will work for the AccuBond? If not which loading do you suggest.

Question 2: We all know that book velocities are different from actual velocity with an equal powder charge. If someone owns a chronograph like I do, would it be safe to assume that adding a couple grains of powder over published max loads is safe to reach book velocities as long as no pressure signs become evident?

Question 3: Is there anyone out there on the net who has experience with this bullet in the H&H which could give me feedback on the loads they use, velocity they get... Is 2800 fps attainable with the AccuBond in the Ouch&Ouch or is it pure illusion?

Thanks again for your time,

Best regards,

Maurice

enigma,

You can use the same data listed for the 260 gr Bt and PT for the AB bullet. Just remember tostart low and work up. The Nosler RG #5 list RL15 with a start load of 69.0 grs and a MAX load of 73.0 grs.
Every rifle is different so you use loading as a guide or reference only. That is why you should always start low and work up. Only your rifle and your experience will tell you what your true MAX load will be.
It is usually difficult, if not impossible to meet or exceed published velocities that are done in a lab under controlled conditions in a custom barrel. Your rifle may be able to reach the 2800 fps level with max loads but what is it really going to buy you other than excessive wear and tear on you, your rifle and your brass.
IMHO, the 375 H&H with a 260 gr AB at 2700-2750 fps is a hammer for any game. It will shoot plenty flat for the bigger game out to 400 yds with a 200 yd zero.

I dont use the 260 accubonds but I do use hornady 270gr interlocks in my H&H. They shoot decent but they arent noslers
