Quickload .270 Win Woodleigh 180 data available?

Not sure if this bullet is listed in Quickloads, but IF IT IS I'd sure love some data for it out of a 22" barrel. I saw a list that "claims" Remington uses a 9 1/2" twist in their .270, anyone know for sure? If it will handle it, it sure wood be a sweet elk/big hog bullet!

Thank you kind sir! Do you agree with that info about Remington using a 9 1/2" twist in their .270?

All I've seen are ten twist. Their .280s and 7RM were sometimes 9.25 twist; but the .270 Win appears to have always been ten twist.

I had a 700 Classic 280 Remington that had a 1:9.25 twist but the 270 Wins were 1:10 as I recall.

Haven't seen any factory rifles other than some Mannlichers that were faster than 10 twist in a 270.

Doesn't matter too much Jim, that 180 Woodleigh isn't any longer than a 150 Nosler ABLR, and it's length that counts vs sheer weight. I'd give them a try if you want too.

I am using the 175 Woodleigh in my 7 Mashburn and it is a pretty good shooting bullet.

I'm going to work with my 150/160 Partitions before I mess with the Woodleighs. I hope this rifle even likes the heavier bullets. So far, the lighter 110 Sierra works...Wiley Coyotee beware!

My rifle is a 10" twist, so I may never try the Woodleigh. I decided I'm going to have some work done to the rifle before I wring out anything else. I still don't trust the forearm with a pressure pad, so I'm going to have it Pillar Bedded/floated/sealed well and am looking favorably at that Trigger Tech trigger. I get rained on a lot out here, in early elk/deer and snowed on/frozen later in Dec-February, ha. I'd rather stick with the factory stock too, just because I like it...

I like those Trigger Techs.. Seem pretty rugged and have 3 of them so far. One on my ML, 35 Whelen and 300 RUM.. I like the wide shoe on them. Some may not though.
