Went out today even though it was fairly windy. I was shooting to the North and winds were WNW 15-25 MPH. Shot the 378 Bee the 300 Bee and the new 30-06 Marlin. To make a long story short this is what they did. The 378..This thing despises the 260 ABs. It did like the 250 TTSX though. 113 gr of H4131 gave single digits SD and this is what she did at 3115 fps.

The New 300 bee did nicely also 180 AB at 3205 fps with 7828.

The new 30-06 Marlin bargain XL-7 did pretty well 180 AB at 2850 fps. Nice group but I think the wind got the 3rd shot

Those are all quite acceptable. You've got the shooting down pat and the loads appear to be cooperating with you, as well. (y)

Nice shooting especially with that breeze.
Pretty wood on those Fotis.
Nothing wrong with your bargain rifle either.

Fotis those are not bad at all. Thank you for the photos and the range report.

Blessings,
Dan

BTW the 30-06 put about 8 rounds of Rem 180gr Core locs factory loads (2660 fps) in one ragged hole less than 1"!!!

This is why I think the wind took that 3rd 180 AccuBond to the East.

Hard to go from an unbraked 378 to a 30-06 and then a 300 Bee.

Impressive! Great shooting. You sure do good work with your load development.

Good shooting Fotis!

A 180 @ 2850 from the .30-06? That's good velocity. Faster than anything in the Nosler manual for a 180, and they're using a 24" barrel.

What's your load? Looks to shoot good.

Guy

Nice shooting FOTIS. Funny how some guns will shoot those Remington Core-locks so well. The Green box has put the meat on the table without a big fuss or expense, but back in the day I always liked the Federal Premium line using the Nosler bullets.

I worked up to 56 and 57 H4350 at 2810 and 2850 respectively. Not entirely comfortable about the velocity (too high) we will see.

I will be working with 180 BT's next.

Nice shooting Fotis and beautiful rifles.

56.0 gr of H4350 in my Rem.700CDL 30-06 clocked just about 2,650 with the 24" barrel and good accuracy.. My headspace increased about .004" when I had the bolt lapped so that both lugs contact the receiver. Don't know if that has a significant affect on velocity.. Accuracy is better, some groups under 1" when I do my part.

Sportsman's warehouse. Got tons of it.

Next is 300 Bee with 180 TTSX and 30-06 with 180 BT
