Spent a couple of hours at the range with my boys earlier today. We had a blast! Literally...
Youngest son with my .308 Winchester. He shot it real well, and also shot his deer-slaying 6mm Remington just fine! He likes the 6mm better, but today was the first time trying my .308 Win, which is a really nice rifle...
Oldest son showed off several one-hole groups with his .223 Bushmaster Varminter. The Bushmaster is really an amazingly accurate rifle, for a factory built AR-15. Favorite ammo? Hard to believe, but it's shooting extremely well with 55 grain FMJ Black Hills! Including some of those one-hole groups... Also likes the 52 grain hollowpoint stuff. A little looser with the 69 grain match bullets, but not bad at all.
Despite the thermometer at the range reading 108 in the shade, it was a great way to spend a couple of hours!
Regards, Guy
