Went out today with my guns:

7mm rum Sendero

300 run AWR
and my buddy's Savage Stevens 200 in 7mm rem mag.

So this is what came out of it.

First of all the obligatory picture of Spring/Summer in Cheyenne.

The AWR 300 RUM did the same ole thing. 210 Berger VLD's at 3116 fps and under 1/2".

IMAG0042.jpg

7mm rum 160 Accubonds at 3260 fps pulled the right shot. 0.8" group

7mm rum 160 Hornady Inerlocks Boatail at 3270 fps. 0.35" group

The big surprise. The 7mm Savage 60 gr RL22 2850 fps 150 E-Tip .8"

61 gr RL22 2910 fps 150 E-Tip .3"

Very nice. I wish I could shoot like that.
Question, would you trust the 160 Hornady Inerlocks Boatail at 3270 fps on game at those velocities.

We have taken elk at point bank range in the timber and they did great at 3050 fps striking velocity.

The Sendero 7mm RUM is setup as a super long range gun with a 6.5x20 Vortex Viper. Only open Wyoming prairies need apply, so I am not at all worried. 8)

Fotis,

Nice shooting! You are good to go.

Nice shooting POP.

Those 150 Etips seem to be shooting great, love the 7 RM and RL22.

The 7/300 RUM are also impressive, I like it!

Fotis is an excellent marksman, at the range and in the field.

I have seen him make several 300yd. or longer shots on pronghorns when we've hunted together.

That looks pretty nice. I was working in the desert today (85+ degrees) in a dark blue truck with a guy who doesn't like AC. Good times.

Pop,
Awesome shooting, doesn't appear the rifles need tuned at all. Game should tremble at the mere mention of your name! I'm still striving to get those groups with my guns.

RUM this and Rum that. Com-on pop. Where is your .270 stuff ? Oh yea. Nice shooting POP

Nice job dad time to start on my 325wsm!

Steph,

Welcome to the forum buddy, glad to have you here.

I am really looking forward to hunting with you and your Dad this fall. I can't wait to see you in action with your 325 WSM!

Thanks Jim glad to be here I'm going to use 150 grain Hornady or 200 grain N'Ps in the 325. Do not know for sure yet. 8)

Steph,

Stay on your dad's case until he gets you the load you want for that 325 WSM. I was just shooting mine today, and it gave me superb results.

Fotis,

Great shooting, as per usual. Looks as if you have some super loads ready to go.

Steph here's a couple loads that worked for my buddies 325 WSM very nicely! 8)

Nosler 200 gr. Partition, Winchster cases, Fed. LRM primer, 64.5 grs of IMR4350 2.865 OAL
(Just under 1" groups at 100 yards at about 2812 fps.)

Nosler 200 gr. AccuBond, Winchester cases, Fed. LRM primer, 65.5 grs IMR4350 2.900 OAL
(3/4" groups at 100 yards, just a little faster than the Partition)

The Partitions were sighted in for 1.5" high at 100 yards. Shooting with the same sighting and not changing anything, the Accubonds hit 2.5" high at 100. One sighted for 200 yards and the Accubonds for about 250 or a bit more and dead on horizontally with the Partitions. Got lucky on that one.

Good luck with the 325 WSM. It sure seems easy to load for and a lot of fun to shoot.
David.

Stephen, welcome to the board! Your Dad is a heckuva great guy around here!

Great shooting Fotis. Looks like they are really shooting well. Where is the 264WM. I thought you were breaking it out. Scotty

Steph,

Your rifle will tell you which bullet it likes best. Looking forward to your load development.
