I've had the Grandson this week . we finally made it to the range today . I took him to our 50 - 450 yard range . he shot his 22 , and his 260 with reduced recoil loads . after todays session I'm upping the powder charge some more , he's not having any problem with the recoil . I put up some balloons at 100 yards , and we painted the steel targets at 50 , 100 , 150 , 200 . I'm very happy with his shooting , and his mind is on safety . he shot today from sitting , using his bog pod . today is the first he has shot from sitting . it was just windy enough the balloons , filled with air , were moving around . the water balloons didn't move , but they were a little small for him with the 22 . I forget what gong he was shooting , but he hit it every time . I asked how the target looked , he said one here and there , then just a big blob .

The lad must have had a good teacher! (y) He clearly has mastered the basics and is shooting consistently. Congratulations. I believe all of us enjoy seeing the younger shooters becoming proficient in the sport.

thanks Fellas . I have more fun taking him shooting , then shooting myself . it really makes me feel good watching him be successful .
Nothing like taking the grandkids to the range. Your grandson was pealing the paint on those targets. Speaks well of grampa's teaching and grandson's ability. Good stuff. Dan.
