Re ql and factory ammo speeds.
If factory ammo does 2930 fps and ql says it can be done at 64k pressure I'd be looking to work towards that w/a 26" barrel and factory freebore.
Wby brass is soft and tiny extractor circles wouldn't necessarily scare me off. Swipe marks or loose primer pockets would be different. Seems like some of the speeds above are 338 winmag speeds....not wby?

Here is the best results I have got so far using
RE25. This load was 88.5 @3.660 with a 250 SGK
@ 100yds. This was a supposed to be a 3 shot group
but I pulled the 3rd and shot another. It happens sometimes.
25 shows promise the average velocity was 2849. I suppose
it is not Wby speed though no pressure signs at all.

Trade that rifle in for a 338-378 and you will get closer to 3200 fps with a 225 gr TSX out of it :mrgreen: gotta have m ore powder :lol:
