Here is a photo of where I do my rifle and pistol cartridge reloading. The bench is in a north facing porch. There are windows on the east, north, and west sides.

The natural light is terrific for visibility. Unless I am reloading at night, I don't need any lights.

Reloading in the winter with a snow cover is the best. There is no direct sunlight but lots of reflected light from the snow. Of course, reloading in the summer isn't too bad either....

I store my ammo, electronics, primers, powder, and dies-not-in-use in an interior room of the house for temperature stability. I only have the dies I am currently using on the porch.

My girl friend told me this morning that she could think of a better use of the porch. Then I remembered why I am still single........ :?

That looks like a great place to reload. My reloading room is out in the shop and is considerably more cluttered. My bench is just big enough for a press, scale, and powder trickler. Plus assorted other items.

It looks ideal to me. Yeah, ladies can always think of uses that appeal to them for the space that we enjoy. I tend to smile politely at my dear wife and rejoice in my selective deafness.

Very nice. I'd take a picture of my reloading room but I don't want you all to think less of me!

Scotty,
What are you doing for reloading at your new digs...... or are you leaving it set up at home?

Hold your ground NYDAN! Otherwise, you'll be relegated to a much more uncomfortable space. I acquiesce the kitchen, living room, dining room, her office, the bedrooms and bathrooms. I stand firm on the den, mancave and the garage/shop and point out the fact that she has a 3 to 1 advantage and that I'm being more than fair.......works every time! I also point out that if I were relegated to the garage only; she wouldn't see much of me(careful with this one - some women are just fine with this). Fortunately, after 20 years my wife still enjoys my company and this logic works for me.

Leaving it set up at home. I figure I'll be home enough to do what I need to do.

Never know though. I might need a Forward Reloading Operations Base (FROB) if boredom sets in.

Its nice, but its much clean!!!! You need a lot more stuff to hide things under.

Oh, yeah. That is certainly descriptive of my reloading room!

Is it legal to reload in NY ? and if it was me reloading I would wanta move that propane tank a little farther from the room! :)

I can never keep mine that neat...it always looks like a hurricane went through it...I'd straighten it up, but that would mess up my filing system.

Quite often I call from the road and have my wife go in there and get something that I'm wanting to check...load data, measure stuff, etc....she always says "how in the he** to you know where every little thing is in that room?"

LOL...its true, from the big stuff right down to the the tiny little set screws from scope base holes...I know where everything is in there....how do I know? I have no idea...

That looks like a very pleasant place to load ammo!

I wish I knew where everything is in my own gunroom. I've bought new stuff and put it away so "it won't get lost" and then found it again three or four years later. It's almost like getting a present.

Happens all the time. :? Part of the maturation process.

Then I've matured early.....

My latest "present" was a box I opened anticipating it being empty and suitable for use to ship an item I had to mail out.

Turned out it held my powder shelf "overflow" from when I decided to organize things.

Contents included several pounds of various IMR and Alliant powders.

And you're now offering them for sale to powder starved hand loaders all over America? Generous! Scotty is doing a Happy Dance!

My disorganization gave me the opportunity to buy the new RCBS Chargemaster combo which is very nice.. My reloading bench upstate is the kitchen table when I at my second home in Hudson Valley where I am with my wife I have a desk in a den that I clamp my press to and go to it.. Never enough storage space or time together truly organized...
