Rem 700 barrel thread on to a Rem 7 action?

I'm mostly a Winchester guy so I don't know a lot about all the Rems. Are the threads, tenons etc the same?

I don't know Scott. I would think they are to simplify manufacture though.

They are the same but the XP-100 barrel I have has about .250" of threads removed at the start. Not sure if a model 7 is the same way but the tenon length is the same as are the threads.

All the Remmy M7- M700- M600- etc etc barrels all have the same thread and are interchangable RJ
