Well folks,

I have placed my order for the new Browning X-Bolt in .280 Rem and have a VX-III 2.5-8x36mm on the way. The last thing I need is a GOOD leather US MADE sling to attach to it. I ain't looking for braided stuff or anything. I just need some recommendations on some places to look for US MADE leather slings.

TIA

Can't help you with this one,I use a foreign neoprene sling. Pretty much the opposite of what your ooking for. :p

I am just tired of buying Chinese!!!

I've been using a leather sling from Turner for many years. Excellent piece of gear that will take rough use. American made and well made. They do take a little breaking in. It's a traditional military design, so a fellow can rig the sling as a shooting aid, as well as use it for a simple carry strap.

I use Uncle Mike's Mountain Slings. They are rugged and light weight.

I do indeed have some of Turner's slings but mainly on my US Military Rifles. They are super slings.

Well, it's not leather, and I dont have a clue where they are made, but for my serious huntin' I've used this sling exclusively for the last 15+ years--every other sling seems like a handicap anymore........
