Perfect morning for shooting today, mid 60s no wind. I decided to range out to 300yd and get the rifles I'm taking to New Mexico set. The JOC tribute .270 win did outstanding. I had it zeroed for 3" high at 100yds. It settled in pretty much where it should of.
Bruce, if you think you'd like a little more latitude in the pull weight of that trigger, I highly recommend the trigger spring from Ernie the Gunsmith. I put one in my Model 70 with the MOA trigger, and it adjusts down to what I would estimate to be a little less than two pounds (my Model 70 is designated as a coyote rifle). It's the best trigger of all my rifles with the exception of my Winchester 52...and there are several Bold and Timney triggers living in my gunsafe.
