Perfect morning for shooting today, mid 60s no wind. I decided to range out to 300yd and get the rifles I'm taking to New Mexico set. The JOC tribute .270 win did outstanding. I had it zeroed for 3" high at 100yds. It settled in pretty much where it should of.

Bruce, if you think you'd like a little more latitude in the pull weight of that trigger, I highly recommend the trigger spring from Ernie the Gunsmith. I put one in my Model 70 with the MOA trigger, and it adjusts down to what I would estimate to be a little less than two pounds (my Model 70 is designated as a coyote rifle). It's the best trigger of all my rifles with the exception of my Winchester 52...and there are several Bold and Timney triggers living in my gunsafe.

The trigger ain't too slouchy at a tad over 3lbs. But 2 1/2 would be better. I look into the spring. I didn't know such spring existed, thanks.

I put one of those on my '52 M70 270 and it works superb and is a piece of cake to install.
