where did you get reloading data for that combination?

I worked up to Alliants max is 56grs. I did my testing using the ocw method up to 56 grs and went past it only because I was not seeing and the fps or wasn't getting any signs of pressure. I actually work up to 58grs. and found my ocw for the 168's between 57.3 and 57.7grs. So I chose my ocw at 57.5 grs. I ended up changing primers from Rem 9 1/2 to CCI-BR2 with no change of POI or group size. Played with seating depth a little. I did notice that the fps went up 30 fps with primer change. I still have to confirm this load along with chrono results.

Latest range session, 375 Ruger and RL17 still singing a sweet tune

Curious? What are you using for a backstop a sheet of painted aluminum?

Nice group. How far off the lands are you set?

Keep us posted on the 375 R loads if you would. I have a box of the 270 TSX but prefer to shoot the 260 AB.

.050" off the lands

That is wax paper stapled over foam board painted with black markerboard paint.

I have been searching for a long range target where you can see the bullet strikes at 400 to 600 yards. There has been spotty success. Essentially I take a foam board from Office Depot (30x40 white and you get 3 for about $15) and cover it with something and then paint black. First was the carpet mask which is clear plastic with one sticky side, some of it sticks too good and you can't see

Sometimes it works perfect

I have tried freezer paper also and it does not work any better than anything else (top hole)

Even tried car waxing and Armor-All'ing the paper first before painting. The trick is to get the black paint to shatter and flake off around the hole.

But these targets are reusable and I have used some of the foam boards for 3 years, just paint the holes black when you go downrange and keep shooting

Any ideas?

Awesome idea woods!
I wonder if different kinds of paint would yeild different results?????
epoxy paints? hi-temp paints?
an automotive enamel without hardener in it, sprayed with one heavy coat would probably work well..... but the cure time would be too long.

Thanks for the info. Ill have to give that one a try. We really need to find a range nearby though that will let us shoot 400 plus yards.
