In a few weeks my Ruger Hawkeye will be up and running and back on line. If you remember I ruined my stock trying to modify it and have settled on a stock for my 06 and it will be in green.

The Hogue Rifle Stock with Full-Length Bedding Block is one of the revolutionary OverMolding™ series stocks. The O.M. process bonds a special rubber compound to a super-strong and rigid fiberglass reinforced stock that precisely fits specific rifle actions. This precision molding means that you get a perfect drop-in fit every time. It is also extremely quiet, great for still-hunting in nasty cover. Recoil pads are constructed from a blend of shock-absorbing materials for maximum energy absorption and greater shooting accuracy and enjoyment. The full-length machined aluminum bedding block ensures rock-solid barrel/stock contact for consistently superior accuracy – something found in very few other synthetic replacement stocks.

Here is what it will look like

but it will be a flat blued Hawkeye barrel, not the stainless.

Looks good Mike, that is the same stock I would like to put on my M70 7mm Rem Mag. They seem like good stocks and I can't find better for the money! Scotty

Scotty, they do not make a B&C Medalist for the Ruger Hawkeye MKII so the only other option of a drop in with an aluminum bedding block for a good price is the Hogue mold over. I hope it works out well.

I am sure it will. Might even really bring some more accuracy to the rifle. I think they are pretty nice stocks. I was even thinking of putting one on my 300 Win Mag, just to lighten it up a little bit. It has a really heavy laminate on it now. Scotty

I think you will like the stock very much! They feel better than most synthetics with that soft touch they have in my opinion.

What kind of loads are you going to work with in it, and bullets? I sure love the 165 gr. Partition and AccuBond in mine. I don't feel the need for the 180 gr. although that's a great weight for the 30-06 as well. I bet you don't have any problems getting it to shoot great.

What kind of scope are you thinking about??? Let us know when you take it to the range to see how it works.

I have so many loads I can refer to and have posted so much load work on this forum for the 30-06 I am not sure at the moment. I will take some of my load work and see which load works best with the new stock.

Don't know at the moment what scope I will put on it.
