Wisconsin laws do NOT allow for scope sighted muzzelloading guns during a special muzzelloader season that follows the regular 9-day rifle season.

However, muzzelloaders CAN be scoped sighted for use during the regular gun season.

What are the laws in your states/provinces related to using scopes on muzzleloaders?

Here in MI, muzzle loaders can be scoped, inline, 209 primer, black powder substitute including smokeless powder. The only stipulation is you have to load it from the front end.

For Idaho muzzleloader only hunts, you are limiteds to flintlock and percussion cap type muzzleloaded RIFLES. They do not allow 209 primers, sabot/bullet combos, pelletized powder, and any optics.

What is legal is loose powder (BP, or BP substitutes), fiber optic type open sights, bullets must be within .010 of bore size, the ignition source (primer) must be visible when in the ready to fire position and you must have a muzzleloader validation on your license (validation is like a $1.50). These rules are made from surveys that were sent out and returned from current and previous Idaho "muzzleloader only" tag holders. They also have caliber restrictions for the type of game.

During general seasons, any muzzleloading RIFLE, caliber restrictions still apply, any type of powder, primer, and optics are allowed.

In VA we can use an optic during either of the muzzleloading seasons. We also allow the use of smokeless powder aka Savage ML.

You have to use a .45 muzzleloader or larger and sabots are allowed as long as the bullet is .35 or larger.

What JD338 said is same in Manitoba. Also sabots can be used. Only restrictions are no less than .45 cal for deer & I believe black bear as well, & no less than .50 cal for moose or elk.

ND = No greater than 1x power during muzzy season. So some use a Red Dot.. But during reg rifle season, mount what ever ya wnt on top..

In TN you can use any form of muzzle loader 40 cal and up for deer. No restriction on sights, powder, bullet. You can even use a cap and ball pistol if it is over 40 cal. My friend killed a buck with his 44 Colt army copy pistol this year.

Yotesmoker is right on for CO.
In addition the bullet cannot be more then 2x the diameter of the bore in length. The plastic at the back of the Powerbelts are not counted in this measure.
