Shooting range load tests

I built this shooting range this year so it makes it convenient to test loads. Only a couple hundred yards from the house so access with the side by side works easily. It’s only 100 yards with a slight down hill. I finally got the brush cut down enough to mow with the riding mower so maintenance should be easier than it has been on my old range where the trees are growing into the shooting lane.
Would be interested in hearing about other’s experiences finding a place to shoot.

Dang, that is nice.

I wished I could build something like that at my place.

Can't beat that being able to shoot like that at home. Looking at the first picture depending on what's behind there it looks like you may be able to shoot to 200 yards over to the left.

I just go out into some clear cuts or on the powerlines to do my shooting, works pretty good just not quite as convenient.

That is very nice, beautiful country too.

I am blessed to live on 20 acres and have a 100 yard and 200 yard rifle range plus a 25 yard pistol range.

That works for most load development anyway. Wish I had a range a few hundred yards from my house, the wife probably ly wouldn't like it as much though haha. I have a couple private ranges on some friends farms. One is a few miles from my house, is covered with 2 concrete benches that go from 50/100/200/300 and I can get 500 across the pond where a gong is set up. The other is a 1400 yard range where there is a concrete bench with a 100 yard target board, then you swing over looking down canyon where there is a big concrete pad overlooking the LR steel gongs set up from 300 to 1400 yards, every 100 yards. This is 15-20 miles from my house.

You've certainly addressed one of the major problems for shooting--access and availability. Great job on your part.
