I haven't been online in quite a long while. Haven't really had much to talk about because life still seems ridiculously busy. However, a long awaited rifle finally made its way to me

That is a Cooper Custom classic in 6.5-06 with a New Zealand Walnut stock that I bought the blank for and used the supplied blank option. I put a high gloss 3.5-10 Leupold VX 3 on it although I had originally planned to put a Zeiss conquest 4.5-14 on it. The Leupold just seemed to suit the rifle better. Intended load it a 130 AccuBond in resized Winchester 30-06 cases. I'll try and update once I have a load worked up.

That is a very attractive stock; it has real character. Congratulations on selecting a beautiful rifle. Now, to the range. I have no doubt it will shoot well for you.

Holy crap that thing is beautiful! And in an extremely intriguing cartridge. Looking forward to your range report.

Holy schneikies that's a gorgeous stock!

Way too nice for the likes of me...

That is really nice wood with great figure. I thought that it was Bastogne at first!

My wife asked me, "why don't you have wood like that?" ;)

That sounds almost like permission! Man, my wife had better never say something like that.

I know what would happen if my lady said that to me...

Wow, beautiful rifle and in a super cartridge too! What a beautiful set up.

It's already been its beautiful. It is a piece of art, fantastic. Congratulations.

Great looking rifle, and I'll bet it's a shooter too!

Congrats - nice find. Am really looking forward to seeing a few more photos of it out at the range, and eventually in the hunting fields. Should be a GREAT rifle!

JT,

Oh man, that is a gorgeous rifle!
I bet the 6.5-06 would do well with the new 129 gr ABLR too. ;)
