hello all!
i finally made it. a case stuck in the die. the problem is there is a live primer in it
and there's no way to put the decaping pin back in there, as the expander wont go in.
now i have to order an rcbs stuck case kit.
how can i desactivate the primer so i can drill the base of the case?

thanks in advance for the recommandation

Another option is, if the die body is empty so that there is an opening all the way down to the primer, you could set the die in a vise, put on your earmuffs, use a pin punch, and detonate the primer. Then it won't matter.

I think RCBS also makes a stuck case removal kit (they make two) that uses a rod driven against the inside base of the case to puch it out without drilling, but I could be wrong. Again, if you have access through the top of the die, a steel rod and a dead blow hammer will probably release it. Use some penetrating oil and maybe try the old freezing it first trick.

The RCBS stuck case remover dubyam is refering to is kit-2, part number 09355. This one provides a nut to remove the expander ball and rod from the die. Then the die is clear to beat the case out of the die using a steel rod provided in the kit.

Use a smaller caliber decapper that will fit back through the
case neck to decap the live primer. Wear glasses of course, and
any other safety precautions you may want to add in the
event of the primer going off.

Then follow stuck case methods.

thanks to all of you
it's fixed. i grinded a pin to the right size and took the primer out
then i used the rcbs tool my gunsmith lended me. it took 5 minutes.

If you choose to detonate the primer, protect your eyes and hands. A month ago I had the same problem. I detonated the primer and it shot out & hit my finger  You have no idea how much pain that little projectile can produce
