Wow, I haven't been on Hodgdon's site in a while. When did they put data up for the 30-06... 2972fps with a 165gr bullet.... Gonna have to try it.. I have a nice supply of 168gr BT that would work great at just under the 3000fps... I currently use RL 17 and 168 TTSX at 2820 but the shoot 0.5MOA, so i'll never mess with that combo ...

At that velocity and with that bullet, you have no need for anything else. It'll do for about everything you'll hunt in NA and much of the remainder of the world.

I had good luck with Superformance in my 300WSM and 243 both were shooting lighter bullets VERY fast and groups were under an inch. I'm working with it in my 257RobertsAI using 85gr BTs to see if it'll work into something accurate and fast.

Ya.. I love my TTSX load so much it has never failed me..... Smashes every bone I've hit and kept going.. Don't really need another 150fps but gives me a good reason to tinker with the 168BT

This will tick off somebody, but I got 140gn Game Kings to measure 3168 fps with 58gn of Superformance in a bolt action 280 Rem using a 24" barrel.

59gn of SF in the same rifle with the 150gn Game Kings did 3113 fps.

There were so signs of overpressure and the case walls were stretched in front of the web. The most accurate load in the rifle was sub MOA @ 200 and 400 yards.
