Testing RL 26 in the 280 Remington

Those pills are moving! Should put a smack down on about anything you will hunt with that rifle.

Went today with my 280 and 154 gr Interbonds...I stopped at 61.5 gr..Didn't see signs of over pressure, except for the primers had a very slight raised ridge around the firing pin dimple..Needless to say, I'm impressed with RL-26.

4 shots at 100 yards.

Very awesome load. That is a one load sorta deal that will do anything asked of a 280 Rem. Congrats on such a good load. I'm very impressed with that Interbond, even 200 FPS faster from my MSM.

A local shop always has a good supply of just about any powder or bullet you want, but his prices are higher than everybody else. The other day his sign said "Semi Retirement Sale, 25% off".. I stopped and got his last four pounds of RL-26 for right at $23.00 ea...If you can find it, it is definitely worth searching for...I'm seriously considering giving it a try in the 264 WM

The Interbond, or lack thereof, is what drove me to this forum and the AccuBond in the first place..I really liked Interbonds for deer and black bear and had invested the time and cost to develop loads for all my deer/bear rifles with them, then they got placed on Hornady's dreaded "Temporarily Suspended" list for a long time, so that absence from the market led me to the AccuBond..Since they've came back I've slowly been stocking up and now have 500 for each of the calibers I load them in...Just an interesting side note..The SST performs almost exactly like the Interbond (in the air, not in terminal performance) On a couple rifles I used the much cheaper SST to dial in a load and when satisfied used the Interbond to fine tune for hunting..

Nice score.

I think it'll work excellent in your 264. I have ran RL25 forever and 26 is better yet.

Can someone see what QL says about RL-26 with 150gr Scirocco 2's in a 22" 280 rem with rem 9-1/2M?

Could we possibly get load data for 175 gr ELD-X bullet?
60k psi and 64k psi? Please?
Using RL-22 and.RL-26, and a 24" barrel.

Retained velocity is also important...which 7mms clearly have over 30 cals as well. But ya, this is why I love 7mms, you cant beat them ballistically...

But to be fair, you need to run the 30-06 with RL26 and 2750 with the 212 which is entirely within the realm of safe. Pretty sure they'd both be neck and neck at that point and maybe tip the 06 in favor of both energy and velocity.
