Has anyone bought or had the chance to shoot the new Ruger 22/45 Lite. I've been looking for a 22 for my wife (she won't shoot my 9) I've seen several videos on you tube. but was hoping for some first hand expierience. And honestly I think it's a bad ass little gun if it functionsas well as it looks

Great 22lr pistols for the money! This thing eats anything you feed it. Little on the heavy side as you can see, but fun to shoot.

Yeah but heavy is actually good, suck up some of the recoil for her

Recoil is nothing in any of them and muzzle blast is minimal unless using Stinger ammo. My pistol is hefty because of the suppressor and tactical light/laser combo.

The models with a 5-1/2" bull barrel are all great. The all-steel one is the nicest, IMO.

My local gun monger had a good deal on a 22/45 and I ended up buying the target model on a lark. I also, for no reason other than to see what it was like, tossed a POS sig sauer dot sight on it.

I probably enjoy plinking with it more than any other pistol right now.. and no, I'm not kidding.

I've fed it a handful of different 'bulk' .22LR and it shot everything reliably. The dot sight makes it just a hoot. I'm not a great pistol shooter, but with that setup, I can make little tiny groups at 15 yards.

My only complain is that Ruger has yet to find a better method to field strip their pistols. With the stupid magazine disconnect, it's a bugger to put back together after a cleaning. This is slightly mitigated by the fact that aside from a drop in accuracy, it handles hundreds of rounds without a cleaning like a champ.
