TURNING AN EDSEL INTO A MUSTANG

Nice article Mike. I really like the look of your marlin with the new stock. A fixed 6 power was another good call I think. I used to have one on my .270. Wish I still had it.

Thanks, and I do like the fixed 6 power scope. I never thought when I bought this Marlin XL7 for the comparison test that I would end up with the rifle as it is for little cost. Yeah, I do like the wood with the blued finish on this rifle.

Very nice mike, very nice. You sure made a difference, it looks great.

Thanks, it really turned out much better than I ever anticipated it would. :)

Mike,
Great read as usual. I like the title. I am sure we all turned a edsel in to a mustang at one time or another.

Thanks Dan and yes Russ the most of us have turned an Edsel into a Mustang

Good read and great looking rifle. That prairie hunter is an interesting looking stock, I've never seen one before, what's the aproximate weight on that?
