Stopped in a local Wally World yesterday. Shelves almost TOTALY EMPTY except for
3 boxes or .223's and 5 boxes of 40 S&W and some shotgun shells in various cals and shot sizes.
I bought a couple boxes of the .40 S&W's @ $43.00 total. WOW!. I'm still trying to find the components to load .40 S&W but it looks like it might be a while before I can get my hands on some.
Clerk advised he gets VERY LITTLE inventory and when he does, it is usually gone in an hour, max.
He opened 1 case of the .223's and with a limit of 3 boxes per customer, they were gone in 50 mins. so they didn't quite last as long as he predicted.
I amazes me where all the "odd" size ammo is really going and that the usually over abundent .22 shorts, longs and LR are no where to be found. I have a few LR "bricks" on hand and guarding them closely as obviously, they are worth almost as much as gold right now.
