I think the 30-06 and 22LR cover the "need". All others cover the "want". I guess I still have way more than I need but not enough that I want.

Lol!!! I was gonna say that or the 7mm mag. Kinda funny though, I have 11 rifles in my safe and not a single 30-06 or 7mag to be found. Im getting a funny look from my wife as I type this. I wonder why that is?

Let's see... To satisfy my rifle shooting hobby I need:

An accurate .22 plinker

A rifle for NRA matches

A varminter/coyote rifle

A deer/elk/bear rifle

Looks like four should do it. Why do I have more? :grin:

I've shot alot of prarrie dogs with 90gr Sierra HP's from my .270 Win. Shot alot of them with my dad's match rifle as well

Well, I gave in to want and need in one purchase. Instead of buying a gun I don't really need, I picked up a new 16x20 wall tent from Davis Tent & Awning. This is the second tent I have purchased from them, the first being a 12x14. I figure it's more important to have a warm dry place to eat and sleep while out hunting/camping rather than a new rifle. The RUM and the ctent cost about the same, so I feel like I made the wise decision. I'll post pics when I get back from Idaho this fall.
