What mounts on a Wby. MK V ?

I ususlly prefer dual dove tail on big kickers but. What do you folks use? It's a high gloss blue in 416 Wby. I see Talley makes a combo base/ring as 1 piece.

I agree with the dual dovetails, but take a look at the conetrol mounts.

Great looking, strength and very adjustable. IMHO, the prettiest mounts on the planet. I have them on 3 different mark Vs from 7mm to .257... Just broke a luepy mount on my .300

I don't own any "big kickers" but I like and demand rock-solid mounts and rings, even on my rimfire rifles. The more I think about the common windage-adjustable rear mounts, the more I detest them.

I always prefer Dual Dovetail mounts, but they're just not available in some cases. For instance, I can't put them on my custom '98 Mausers. Bummer...but all is not lost, I can go with Warne steel Weaver-style mounts and Burris Zee rings. Warne makes some pretty good rings, too and I put a pair of their vertically-split steel rings on one of my rifles just to be a little different. They're rock-solid.

I think you've got some pretty good options for scoping that Weatherby, Greg.
