What scope for a pre 64 m 70 .270?

I would say a M8 Leupold would be period correct and lotta different reticles out their, some of the older M8's were in 4x and plenty good enough for that rifle IMO The older M8's were nice and still are on an older rifle!

I have two M8 4x Leupolds and like them a bunch. One sits on my 444 and the other is on my sons 243. Very decent scopes if you can tolerate the adjustments.
