you will have to add some labor for the smith but it is still not as much as you thought

as for the stock boyds probably makes a laminate like the lss also try stockys stocks on the web they have about anything you want

Figure on about $1k for everything you need to drive tacks.

Yeah Im gonna give him a call probably in a month or so and try an get a plan going on this, I had done some reasearch onling and it seemed like most the good gunsmiths were priced around 1500 to 2000 to get a good hunting rifle built, thats why I thought it would be a little more.
 
I budget about $700.00 for a rebarrel. The last one cost me $800.00 with no stock or trigger work but with an integral muzzle port brake. That is with a Brux.

That's almost exactly what last job cost me.
That was with a rifle cut barrel with a new brake, printing and bedding the action.
 
youd have to open up the bolt face, but would a 375/416 ruger work?
that would be a beltless elk kille for sure :twisted:
